Everyday Law: Writing Wills,POAs &Advance Medical Directives

Friday, September 25
12:00pm – 1:00pm

Be proactive! Build your legal knowledge with free talks from local lawyers! Everyone is welcome to attend a practical presentation on writing Wills, Power of Attorneys & Advance Medical Directives.

During these uncertain times, it is best to be prepared. No matter your age or your health, writing a will is one of the most important ways to ensure that your loved ones are protected and that your wishes regarding your estate are carried out after your passing. If you don’t have a will, the government decides how your estate is handled via laws that may not benefit those you love or align with your wishes.

Join Montgomery County Circuit Court law librarians and local attorney Melissa Wu, Esq, LL.M. as they introduce basic concepts and terminology; discuss where and how to find information, laws, checklists, and forms; and discuss resources for finding legal representation or assistance, including free or low-cost options.

Please note that this presentation is not a workshop. Speakers will present general legal information only, not dispense legal advice.
