Flash fiction is short fiction, less than 1,000 words, that encompasses all the usual
story elements; it’s a great way to get your feet wet if you have a story to tell but
aren’t ready to commit to a full-length novel. Learn what makes a good flash
fiction story, get some writing tips and great examples of the genre. Ready to
write? November is National Novel Writing Month, and to help celebrate it, we
are holding a flash fiction contest and looking for your entries! Details on p.32.
