Thursday, July 30: 7:00pm – 8:00pm

Join us for a virtual book talk with popular local mystery authors: new mysteries Con Lehane’s “Murder off the Page” and David Swinson’s “Trigger”

Con Lehane is the author of Murder at the 42nd Street Library, the debut of a new series featuring Raymond Ambler, curator of the  library’s crime fiction collection. The third book Murder off the Page was released in November 2019.

Lehane has been a college professor, union organizer, and labor journalist. He teaches fiction and mystery writing in Bethesda, Maryland.

“Lehane again proves in his third novel, librarians make insightful sleuths. Lehane molds a tight plot that spins on believable twists . . . Murder Off the Page is a page turner.” – Sun Sentinel

David Swinson is the author of popular DC crime novels. The Second Girl (a Frank Marr novel), is a 2016 New York Times and Booklist best crime fiction book. Trigger (Frank Marr 3) was published in February 2019.

Swinson, a retired police detective, served for sixteen years with the Washington Metropolitan Police Department. Before joining the DC police, he was a music video producer and independent filmmaker in Los Angeles. He currently lives in northern Virginia.

“Marr is easy to take, a decent guy with a sense of honor. And since Swinson is one of the best dialogue hounds in the business, Marr is blessed with some terrific street talk.”―The New York Times Book Review
